Public outreach to educate the citizens of South Carolina regarding the urgent need for organ and tissue donation is critical. We have a unique opportunity to encourage others to become donors during the months of November and December. This annual observance has been established to raise awareness, through religious communities, of the urgent need for organ and tissue donation. We would like to invite you and your church to join our efforts in increasing awareness about the great need for more organ and tissue donors. As we celebrate National Donor Sabbath, we would be happy to provide you with a trained volunteer speaker in your area that is either a recipient or donor family member (if available). Please click on the link below and fill out the attached request form to receive distribution materials that will assist in educating your church members regarding organ and tissue donation. To ensure that you receive your materials in a timely manner, please fax this form to our office at: 864-609-5387.
We are excited to announce a new program in South Carolina that is a partnership between the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, Sharing Hope SC, and Donate Life South Carolina. Through the AME Donor Sabbath Initiative, we join with the greater South Carolina Christian community to spread the word about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation through donor registration and education. Access to valuable AME Donor Sabbath materials and helpful resources are linked below.
